Rae Sremmurd Readies 'SremmLife' Debut for January
After a breakout summer, Rae Sremmurd is ringing in the new year with its debut SremmLife.
Executive produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, the album will arrive on January 6 via Ear Drummer/Interscope Records featuring the hit singles “No Flex Zone” and “No Type.”
The Mississippi duo, consisting of Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee, has enlisted Nicki Minaj and Young Thug for their next single “Throw Sum Mo,” which is scheduled to hit iTunes on December 9.
“The album came together so easily and organically—it was really a fun album to make,” Mike WiLL told Pitchfork. “I’m just as excited about this album as I was about Miley Cyrus’ album, as I was about Future’s album. This album is as special to me as any project I’ve ever been involved with. People are learning now that these guys are superstars, they’re here to stay. SremmLife is just round one.”
Last week, they dropped a video for “Illest Walking,” which will not appear on SremmLife.
