Pharrell to Guest Star on 'The Simpsons'

  /  01.22.2015

Pharrell Williams is headed to Springfield.

The “Happy” hitmaker (and his famous hat) will make a cameo as himself on the Feb. 8 episode of Fox’s animated comedy “The Simpsons,” reports EW.

The episode, entitled “Walking Big & Tall,” is based on the true story of a composer, who writes a city-pride song, and ends up shopping the same song to other cities. In this case, Springfield learns that their song is actually a carbon copy of multiple cities. But Pharrell comes to the rescue and writes a new anthem for the town.

On the same day the show airs, the GQ cover star will perform at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in L.A., where he is nominated for six awards.

He has also contributed four original songs to the movie Dope, which will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this week.
