Migos Criticized for $1,000 High School Donation
Migos is giving back. The “Versace” trio donated $1,000 to a local high school, but it didn’t come without some backlash.
On behalf of their label Quality Control Music, they presented the oversized check with fellow rappers OG Maco, Skippa Da Flippa, and Rich the Kid at Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta.
“GIVING BACK TO WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL IN ATLANTA @johnpopi @yrnflippa @whoisrichthekid @ogxmaco #YRN #QC,” they wrote on Instagram.
Despite the good deed, they were slammed by critics who didn’t feel the amount was substantial enough, and were named “Donkey of the Day” by “The Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne Tha God.
Migos should've skipped the check and donated one of their chains to the high school.

Maybe Migos actually donated more money to the school & the rest of the zeroes somehow fell off that giant check.

it was pretty obnoxious for migos to be wearing chains and designer clothing, posting that check on IG but still charity is charity.

But they fired back at those on social media who criticized them for not giving enough.

Migos is gearing up to release its Shmigo Gang mixtape with Bobby Shmurda. Earlier this week, they dropped the first two tracks, Rich the Kid’s “What You Talmbout” and a freestyle to Rowdy Rebel’s “Computers.”
