New Music: Ludacris - 'Charge It to the Rap Game'

  /  03.24.2015

The countdown is on to Ludaversal. With one week until his eighth album drops, Ludacris lets loose and spits some real talk on the !llmind-produced “Charge It to the Rap Game.” Following “Call Ya Bluff” and “Beast Mode,” Luda calls out the shady industry, protesters (“I thought I told you I would never disrespect a bitch”), and hip-hop cops.

“It’s clear to see that hip-hop’s under attack, man / Or is it ’cause that no one wants to see a rich black man?” he asks.

Ludaversal also features appearances from Usher, Miguel, and Big K.R.I.T.

On Monday night, Luda hosted an album listening in L.A., which brought out Da Internz and Marshawn Lynch, who inspired his song “Beast Mode.” He also got on the mic for an impromptu performance of “The Grass Is Always Greener.”

“This is album number eight and this is a celebration,” Luda told the crowd of label executives, media, and fans.
