Pharrell Williams Talks About Working with Missy Elliott on Her New Album

  /  04.02.2015

In between coaching “The Voice” and performing for Karl Lagerfeld, Pharrell Williams stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. The musical genius spoke about his upcoming projects including Maxine Ashley, Snoop Dogg, and Missy Elliott. The Virginia natives hit the studio in February to work on Missy’s new album.

“The way her mind works… We’re in the studio and the things that she says and thinks about, and her video concepts… I didn’t know that all of those video concepts were hers. I’m so proud of her. That’s Virginia,” said Pharrell.

He showered praise on Missy and Timbaland, adding, “Those are two geniuses.”

Pharrell and Jimmy also teamed up as ’80s R&B duo “Afro & Deziak” and created some throwback clips of them singing some funky and hilarious hits. Watch Pharrell don a shiny pink suit and get into character.

Earlier in the day, The Neptunes hitmaker was honored with his own lifelike wax figure at Madame Tussauds New York. Can you tell which is the real Pharrell?
