New Music: JoJo - 'Far From Heaven'
JoJo has been laying low as she records her long-awaited third album, but a new record has hit the net that should hold fans over while they wait. On the soulful ballad “Far From Heaven,” the 24-year-old songstress serves flawless vocals that will have you saying amen.
“So far from me / Keep slippin’ away,” she sings over the piano-driven instrumental.
Since signing with Atlantic Records, JoJo has been in the studio with Da Internz, Gino Barletta (“Disaster”), and Noisecastle III, as well as some up-and-coming producers.
“It’s just been so long since I’ve released an album that really what I wanna bring is just quality,” JoJo told Rap-Up TV in May. “I wanna bring big songs. I want them to touch a wide range of people and I really want it to represent my very best work. I’m really not thinking about what other people are doing. I’m thinking about representing my personal best, delivering powerful vocals, and being honest and as raw as possible.”
