R. Kelly Announces 'Buffet' Release Date
Dig in. R. Kelly is serving up his 14th studio album Buffet this fall, and it has something for everyone.
The R&B kingpin took to Instagram to announce a Sept. 25 release date (via HHNM).
“Expect the unexpected,” he told Rocsi Diaz on HLN. “I’m very proud of it. I’m having a lot of fun in the studio as I’ve always had. It’s not just another day at the office though. It’s just something very special.”
The album will cater to his diverse fanbase. “You got hip-hop, you got old school music with the ‘Step in the Name of Love’ type music, ‘Happy People’ type of music, then you have traditional R. Kelly sensuous, sexual music. It’s just a variety of things.”
The same day the album drops, Kellz will headline a show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
Buffet marks the follow-up to his 2013 album Black Panties.
