Busta Rhymes Arrested for Assault

Busta Rhymes is behind bars after allegedly throwing a protein beverage in a gym.

According to TMZ, the hip-hop superstar was working out at Steel Gym in the Chelsea area of New York on Wednesday night (Aug. 5) when he got into an argument with a fellow gym goer.

The 43-year-old rapper allegedly threw a bottle of Lean Body Protein at the man. The victim refused medical attention at the scene, reports CBS New York. Busta was arrested for second degree assault.

His lawyer, Scott Leemon, has responded, calling the allegations “a bunch of bull.” “This is another attempt to take advantage of Busta’s celebrity status,” said Leemon.
