Kendrick Lamar Performs Medley on 'Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

  /  09.10.2015

Kendrick Lamar was the final performer on Comedy Central’s “Colbert Report” last December. On Wednesday night, he became the first musical guest to grace the stage at Stephen Colbert’s new gig at “The Late Show” on CBS.

With his hair in cornrows, the Compton kingpin performed an electrifying medley of songs off his chart-topping album To Pimp a Butterfly. Backed by his band, he started with “Wesley’s Theory” before ripping into “Momma” and “King Kunta,” capping it off with “u.”

While in New York, Kendrick was spotted courtside as the Williams sisters faced off in the quarter finals of the U.S. Open.
