The Weeknd, Bruno Mars Lead Soul Train Awards Nominations

The Weeknd leads the pack of nominees for the Soul Train Awards 2015. Fresh off his five American Music Awards nominations, the Canadian crooner racks up five nods alongside Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.

The Weeknd is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Male Artist and Best Album of the Year for Beauty Behind the Madness, while Mars and Ronson earn nods for Best Dance Performance and Best Collaboration for “Uptown Funk.” All three are nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award.

Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Jidenna, and Tyrese follow with four nominations apiece, while other multiple nominees include Nicki Minaj, D’Angelo, and Big Sean.

The Soul Train Awards will be taped on Nov. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and air Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. EST on Centric and BET.

Leading up to the awards, Soul Train will host a weekend of festivities in Las Vegas including a concert with R. Kelly and Babyface.
