Melanie Fiona Announces Pregnancy
Melanie Fiona is going to be a mom. The R&B songstress is pregnant with her first child.
Fiona, 32, and her boyfriend, singer-songwriter Jared Cotter, shared the happy news in an Instagram video. The clip for Fiona’s new song “I Want It All” shows the mom-to-be holding her pregnant belly.
“The greatest power a person possesses is the power to choose. The only thing greater, is being chosen,” she wrote. “Thank You for choosing Us. Jared and I are thrilled to become Parents. 💜 #IWantItAll #Motherhood #Love #ChooseHigher #Awake xo.”
Cotter also gushed about becoming a father. “We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives!” said the “American Idol” alum. “There is no greater blessing and I’m so happy to go on this journey with my best friend and love of my life. I’m gonna be a Dad!!! Thank you for choosing us. I promise we won’t let you down. I love you.”
In addition to her baby, Fiona will give birth to her third album Awake next year. It has already spawned the singles “Bite the Bullet” and “I Tried.”
