Will Smith returned to the stage at the 16th annual Latin Grammy Awards. With his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and son Trey cheering him on from the audience, the hip-hop icon joined Colombian group Bomba Estéreo to perform the remix to their song “Fiesta” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Smith emerged amidst flames to spit his fiery verse on the electro-tropical track, his first in a decade.
Smith is gearing up for a musical comeback. He has 30 songs lined up for a new project, and plans to launch a world tour next summer with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
“I’m definitely interested in pushing the envelope of spitting,” Smith told Zane Lowe. “How far can you go? I’ma keep giving it a shot up until I’m 70 or 80 years old.”
