The-Dream Debuts 10 New Songs in Art Film 'Genesis'

  /  01.08.2016

The-Dream ended the year with his Sam Cooke covers EP IAMSAM. Now he presents his art film experience Genesis, which he exclusively premiered on TIDAL. The 10-song compilation, paired with a striking 40-minute visual, offers fans a glimpse inside the “beautiful chaos that lives within the brilliant visionary.” Wiz Khalifa is featured on one of the songs, “Virtuous.”

The-Dream wrote and produced Genesis in four months and screened the short film at the Versace Mansion during Art Basel for a small group of friends including Pusha T, Kylie Jenner, Fabolous, and Tricky Stewart.

“This visual art project was created to give fans a glimpse of my daily thoughts,” said The-Dream in a Q&A with TIDAL. “I along with my fans are lovers of music and art, but to me those two worlds are one and the same. I can never fully explain what I see and what I hear separately, it must be fused into one.”

Genesis serves as a prequel to the new music The-Dream will be releasing later this year.
