Adele Raps Nicki Minaj's 'Monster' Verse on 'Carpool Karaoke'
James Corden welcomed the one and only Adele for his latest edition of “Carpool Karaoke” on “The Late Late Show.” He met up with the British powerhouse overseas in her native London. As they rode through the rainy streets, they sang along to Adele’s hits including “Hello” and “Someone Like You.” After downing a cup of tea, she recalled getting drunk during a recent night out and paying for a fan’s dinner.
In addition to pulling from her own catalogue, she sang along to “Wannabe” from her favorite group, the Spice Girls, who she idolized growing up (She used to dress as Geri Halliwell).
But the highlight was when she spit Nicki Minaj’s full verse on “Monster,” earning praise from the rap queen herself.
“Pull thru, QUEEN!!!!! 😜🙈🏆👑👑👑 #Adele #Monster the attitude & fingers to match. #Oh #Ok #IcoNic I cried when she waved bye to the careers,” tweeted Nicki, adding, “Adele is mad ratchet. I can’t take her.”

Adele will kick off the North American leg of her tour starting July 5, and if Corden has his way, he’ll be joining her on the road as hype man.
