New Music: Young Thug - 'Digits'

Thugga keeps going. After unloading his mixtape I’m Up last month, Young Thug will release Slime Season 3 on Friday. On the eve of the long-awaited project, the Atlanta MC unveils his latest single “Digits.”

The London On Da Track-produced joint, which premiered via Apple Music’s Beats 1, allows Thugga to ruminate on life and death. “You can lose your life, but you keep going,” he sings on the hook. “Why not risk life when it’s gon’ keep going? When you die, somebody else is born.”

While “Digits” is slated to appear on SS3, it’s unclear whether Thugga’s Elton John collaboration will also be on the LP. The rapper reportedly remixed the iconic singer’s “Rocket Man” earlier this month.

Thug made news at SXSW when he unveiled the Slime Season 3 release date with a funeral procession. Following the casket-delivered update, Thug also announced his upcoming “Hy!£UN35 Tour” on horseback.
