Slime Season 3 is here. A month after dropping I’m Up and fresh off the release of his “Digits” single, Young Thug unleashes his highly-anticipated mixtape.
The 8-track project, which received Kanye West’s co-sign, is the third and final installment in the eccentric MC’s Slime Season trilogy. It’s also an important moment for the Atlanta rapper’s career. Its release date was announced with a funeral procession. That was a symbolic ritual for Thug, according to 300’s head honcho Lyor Cohen.

“We’re gonna bury Slime Season 3,” he said in a Snapchat video. Then, video director Be EL Be clarified: “What Lyor meant was, dropping SS3 and getting past all the talk and this era of Thug. Moving forward to dropping albums and hits.”
