New Music: Zayn feat. Kehlani - 'wRoNg'
Say hello to Zay-Lani. Zayn and Kehlani come together on “wRoNg,” a collaboration off the British pop heartthrob’s album Mind of Mine, which dropped today.
“You’re looking in the wrong place for my love,” Zayn sings on the hook. “Don’t think because you’re with me this is real.” Kehlani follows the song’s theme with her verse, declaring that “some people are meant to be loved and others just naked.”
The mellow R&B mood of Zay-Lani’s “wRoNg” is part of Mind of Mine’s soundscape. Kehlani is the only featured guest on the 18-track project, which is the former One Direction star’s debut.
“There was a lot of built-up anxiety to create this thing,” Zayn recently told Complex. “You don’t really know what’s going to happen. So when [‘PILLOWTALK’] went out, and I saw the reaction from the fans, that took a little weight off me for a bit. Obviously, there’s still a lot of pressure. I don’t want to be a one-hit wonder, so I’ve got a lot of work to do.”

To celebrate his album release, Zayn also debuted a video for “BeFoUr” and performed “Like I Would” with The Roots on “The Tonight Show,” his second appearance this year.
