Tyler, the Creator Announces First Golf Wang Fashion Show
Tyler, the Creator is hosting his first fashion show ever. The Odd Future rapper has announced plans for the big event, which is set to go down in June following Moschino’s Spring 2017 and Resort 2017 presentations.
The ready-to-wear showing will allow Tyler to showcase clothes that he feels offer a different side of the fashion industry.
“I just make whatever clothes I want to wear for the next five months and then run that. I don’t really put deep, intricate thought into it—it’s more like a feeling,” Tyler told Vogue. “I just figured, ‘Why not? Why not do something different?’ Not everybody in the upper fashion world is wearing all-black Saint Laurent pieces and is super pretentious. I want to show them a different world.”
Tyler also celebrated the announcement of the show on Instagram with a blurry photo. “‘FASHION SHOW’ IN JUNE,” he wrote.
Golf Wang’s presentation is set to take place at Made LA on June 11.
