DJ Khaled just wrapped his run as Beyoncé’s “Formation World Tour” opener and to commemorate the occasion, he has penned a thank you letter. On Wednesday (Jun. 15), a grateful Khaled showed his appreciation for Queen Bey on Instagram.
“Dreams come true,” he wrote. “Don’t ever let ‘they’ tell you you can’t do it. They told me I would never tour. Well I just finished touring with the biggest artist walking the planet. They told me I would never touch a stage in a high school arena. Well I just finished touching the stage in every stadium in every major city in America. Dreams come true. But you have to work hard, you gotta work very hard!!! In order to stand beside the icon @beyonce You gotto work hard for over 25 years and dedicate your blood sweat and tears to making your dreams a reality.
“I want to thank Beyoncé for putting me on stage in front of a stadium full of loyal fans of the 🐝 Hive and Fan luv,” he continued. “Dreams come true. Momma I made it!!! Fan luv we did it. We showed THEY that nothing can stop us if we move with a clean heart and a clear purpose.”
After continuing to thank Beyoncé for allowing him to bring his “energy and passion” to the tour, Khaled added that he’s “up to something” and that he isn’t stopping here.
For her part, Queen Bey celebrated Khaled’s contributions too. In a video montage, ‘Yoncé showed just what the Snapchat king brought to her tour. The clip featured scenes from his run as an opener, which included appearances by guests like Snoop Dogg, Wale, French Montana, Rick Ross, E-40, Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Busta Rhymes, and Ty Dolla $ign.
Now, Queen Bey is taking a moment off before kickstarting the tour’s European leg on June 28 in Sunderland, England. The run across the pond is set to end on August 3 in Barcelona. Then, on September 7, Queen Bey is back in the States for nine additional dates.
