OG Maco Loses Eye in Car Accident

After being hospitalized following a severe car accident last month, OG Maco reveals that he lost one eye.

The Atlanta rapper shared the sad news and graphic photo of his injury on Instagram, while bashing those who joked about his misfortune.

“Y’all bastards had all these jokes like I really didn’t lose a eye real quick,” he wrote. “I don’t mind. Just remember I never did a thing to you. To see a world where the do-ers and dreamers are ridiculed more than losers and conformity is worse than missing an eye.”

However, he is hopeful that he will get his vision back. “For now my eye is gone. Tonight I might get it back with surgery,” he tweeted. “Just remember we are HUMAN before and after you kick us while we down.”

Maco also posted a video of himself wearing an eye patch. “We’re about to go into surgery to get this eye back,” he said. “We’re fin’a get it right.”

By now, he has undergone one surgery to repair his vision. In a subsequent photo, he added: “First operation complete! Thank you all for your love and support! The journey continues.”

Following his accident, the “U Guessed It” hitmaker also said he suffered multiple skull fractures, a broken orbital bone, and cracked vertebrae, among other complications.
