Video: Tinashe - 'Superlove'
Tinashe turns her music video for “Superlove” into an episode of “Bae Watch.”
Playing the lifeguard role, the R&B babe runs across the beach Pamela Anderson-style, saving lives left and right. “I’m so in love I’m passionate,” she sings while dancing on the sand. “Fuck that shit. I’m passionate.”
Shot in Malibu, the “Baywatch”-inspired video for the Joyride single was directed by Hannah Lux Davis and features choreography by longtime Tinashe collaborator JaQuel Knight, who also worked on the videos for “2 On” and “All Hands on Deck.”
Tinashe recently told Rap-Up that her oft-delayed sophomore album Joyride is due in October, featuring production from Metro Boomin, Boi-1da, Ritz Reynolds, Joel Compass, and The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who helmed “Superlove.”
“It was mostly recorded in 2015,” she said. “The heart of the album still remains the same and then I’m still just adding little tidbits, little touches, anything that inspires me throughout this year.”
