PARTYNEXTDOOR & Rae Sremmurd Score Top 10 Debuts

  /  08.22.2016

PARTYNEXTDOOR and Rae Sremmurd make their return to the Billboard 200 this week.

The OVO Sound crooner earns the highest debut at No. 3 with P3, selling 50,000 units (28,000 traditional albums). This marks PND’s biggest sales week yet and his first top 10 following PARTYNEXTDOOR 2, which peaked at No. 15 in 2014.

His OVO boss Drake sits right above him with Views, which remains at No. 2 with 71,000 units sold.

Meanwhile, Rae Sremmurd debuts at No. 7 with their sophomore album SremmLife 2, selling 27,000 units (14,000 in pure album sales). However, the first-week sales fall short of their 2015 debut SremmLife, which peaked at No. 5 with 49,000 units (34,000 in traditional album sales).

The top spot this week goes to the Suicide Squad soundtrack for the second week in a row. The star-studded effort, which features Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, Wiz Khalifa, Kehlani, and Rick Ross, moved 93,000 units (50,000 in traditional album sales).

Elsewhere, DJ Khaled’s Major Key, which also boasts a star-heavy lineup, rises 7-6 with 34,000 units, Adele’s 25 jumps 10-8, and Rihanna’s ANTI holds at No. 9.
