Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj doubled up at the MTV Video Music Awards 2016 to perform their collaborative new single “Side to Side.”
Introduced by Chance the Rapper, the pop princess rocked it on an exercise bike for the first verse of the song and chorus, emerging from the line of cycling mavens to descend the stairs after donning a lace slip. Nicki, rocking a glossy pink suit and blonde hair with black roots, joined Grande midway through the track, coming to the lip of the stage to wrap up the performance with her “Bang Bang” cohort.
Grande and Minaj plan to release the music video following the performance. The clip is directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who previously worked with Grande on “Focus” and “Into You,” and premieres via Guess Music, which recently launched in tandem with the release of “Side to Side.”
After releasing her album Dangerous Woman in May, Grande followed up the title track lead single with videos for “Into You” and “Let Me Love You.”
