Future Performs at VMAs
Future got props from Olympic elite prior to his first-ever performance at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Michael Phelps, who won five gold medals at the Olympics this year, introduced the rapper with high acclaim, stating that he listened to the MC’s “Stick Talk” before hitting the pool. “There’s no rapper more inspiring today than Future,” he said. “He’s been on an unbelievable run over the past few years… I might have all the golds, but this guy’s got all the platinum.”

Rocking a red jacket over a magenta shirt and maroon pants, Drake’s “Summer Sixteen Tour” co-star performed his smash “Fuck Up Some Commas,” backed by a crew of dancers. He kept it minimal, running through the song and letting his team take the brunt of the performing work.
Future most recently performed at Lollapalooza, bringing out Chance the Rapper as a surprise guest, and signed a deal with Reebok in anticipation of Freeband Gang’s Forever or Never mixtape.
