Listen to an Unreleased Version of Kanye West's 'Famous' Featuring Young Thug
Kanye West’s “Famous” was one of the most-talked-about tracks on The Life of Pablo. Now, an early version of the controversial standout has leaked (via Complex).
Unlike the album version, which featured Rihanna and Swizz Beatz, this edition includes an appearance from Young Thug. Plus, Yeezy’s Taylor Swift lyric is different and he even brings his ex Amber Rose into the mix.
“I feel like Taylor Swift still owe me sex,” raps Kanye. “Why? I made that bitch famous…I feel like Amber Rose still owe me sex / Why? I made that bitch famous / Not really, but somewhat famous.”
Kanye’s Swift lyric on the album version prompted a back-and-forth between him and the pop singer. While Taylor denied having prior knowledge of the song’s lyrics, Kim Kardashian would later reveal audio proof of a pre-album convo about it between ‘Ye and Tay.
Much like the recent leak of Kanye’s verse on Kid Cudi’s “Too Bad I Have to Destroy You,” this one appears to be unfinished. At many points, Yeezy simply mumbles out melodies, likely to be filled in with words later. Thugger-Thugger does the same.
