Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang Signs Label Deal with Atlantic Records

Taylor Gang has a new home.

Following five years of independent distribution, Wiz Khalifa has announced a new label deal with Atlantic Records for his Taylor Gang Ent. imprint.

Although the deal won’t impact Wiz, Ty Dolla $ign, or Juicy J — who already have major label backing — it is set to help the rest of Taylor Gang’s roster shine with Atlantic’s support.

“Very excited about the deal with the gang,” Wiz said in a statement. “These guys are my family and friends first. Now we’re gonna take this shit to the next level.”

Taylor Gang co-founder Will Dzombak also celebrated the news.

“We are very pleased to expand our business with our partners at Atlantic Records/Warner Music,” said Dzombak. “This is a great step forward for Taylor Gang as we get ready to move into the new year and focus on growth. We are all very excited.”

The excitement goes both ways, according to Atlantic Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald. “Wiz is an amazingly talented artist, songwriter and entrepreneur,” she said. “We’ve been so proud to have him as an Atlantic recording artist for the past six years, during which he also built Taylor Gang into a powerhouse hip-hop brand with a phenomenal fan following…We are thrilled to be partnering with Wiz and Taylor Gang to take his crew to the next level, and welcome them to the Atlantic family.”

Along with Wiz, Juicy, and Ty, Taylor Gang includes artists such as Berner, Chevy Woods, Raven Felix, J.R. Donato, Tuki Carter, and Sosamann.

This year, the crew has been hard at work, crafting their forthcoming Taylor Gang, Vol. 1 compilation.
