T.I. Joins Cast of VH1's 'The Breaks'

Get ready for more T.I. on your TV.

The King of the South is set to join VH1’s “The Breaks” in a recurring role as attorney Paul Anders, who comes to Barry Fouray’s (Wood Harris) defense after a public scandal.

Tip is no stranger to VH1 thanks to “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” but he’s also no stranger to acting. His credits include ATL, Ant-Man, Get Hard, Ride Along 2, and House of Lies.

Grand Hustle’s general joins a cast that already includes Harris, Teyana Taylor, Mack Wilds, and Afton Williamson, among others.

“The Breaks” is inspired by Dan Charnas’ The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop and first aired as a film on VH1 back in January.

The new scripted series is slated to premiere in January 2017.

Meanwhile, T.I. continues to push forward with his music career. Last month, he released his politically-charged EP Us or Else. He will perform at the TIDAL X: 1015 benefit concert on Oct. 15 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
