New Music: D.R.A.M. feat. Young Thug - 'Misunderstood'
D.R.A.M. and Young Thug turn into a couple of rock stars on “Misunderstood,” a standout from the recently-released Big Baby D.R.A.M.
Over rock guitars and hard-hitting drums, Thugger flows about misunderstandings while D.R.A.M. talks about his biters.
“I had to buckle down and focus ’cause I almost lost it,” he raps. “I was hemorrhaging in the red and I could not afford it / Ni**as tried to appropriate me, I could not go for it / I’m takin’ mine, I’m claimin’ mine, bitch I go Narcos for it.”
Some fans have taken this line to be about the infamous comparisons between Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and D.R.A.M.’s “Cha Cha.”
Last year, Big Baby said he also believed Drizzy lifted his breakout single for “Hotline.”
“All I’m seeing is Cha Cha/Hotline Bling comparisons on my timeline,” he tweeted. “Ni**as want to know how I feel about that…Yeah, I feel I got jacked for my record…But I’m GOOD.”
