The Legend returns.

John Legend is gearing up to release his fifth album, Darkness and Light, on Dec. 2.

Available for pre-order on Friday (Nov. 4), the project’s cover art features Legend in the shadows, shot in a grainy neck-up portrait.

“My new album DARKNESS AND LIGHT featuring #LoveMeNow will be available to pre-order this Friday,” he tweeted. “You ready?”

The soulful crooner is set to hit “Good Morning America” on Friday too, for a special appearance in support of the new project.

Fans have already gotten a glimpse of what they can expect through “Love Me Now,” the romantic lead single. But the project is also expected to feature “Right By You,” a dedication to Legend’s daughter Luna with model Chrissy Teigen.

Darkness and Light, his first album since 2013’s Love in the Future, also includes appearances from Chance the Rapper, Miguel, and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release, which Legend has already called his “best work yet.”
