Nick Cannon Pays Homage to Tupac on ‘One Night’

Nick Cannon takes on Tupac Shakur.

Inspired by ‘Pac’s “I Get Around” classic, Mr. Ncredible delivers “One Night (Tupac Interlude)” off his forthcoming mixtape, The Gospel of Ike Turn Up, My Side of the Story.

Produced by Jahaan Sweet, “One Night” borrows bars directly from Makaveli’s rhymes. “Hate to sound sleazy but tease me,” Cannon raps in a melodic tone. “I don’t want it if it’s that easy.”

The track also ends with a spoken word piece from Nick. “Your hourglass shape is thick as fuck on the bottom half,” he says. “I can’t wait as the clock melts away. How do we make this time last?”

The Gospel of Ike Turn Up is set to arrive Nov. 16 and is slated to feature the Jeremih-assisted “If I Was Your Man” and “Other Ni**a.”

Expect the album to feature plenty of other ’90s-inspired tracks. “That’s what’s inside me,” Nick recently told Rap-Up. “I’m a student of that. That’s when music felt good and was fun and that’s what I do well.”
