Video: Twista feat. Jeremih - 'Next to You'
Twista brings Friday to 2016 in the video for his Jeremih-assisted single “Next to You.”
Playing the role of Craig that Ice Cube made famous, the Chi-town tongue-twister hangs out on the porch next to his homie, while saying “Damn!” to a beautiful woman passing by.
Later, Twista takes his new lady friend to Rae’s, a landmark old school diner in Santa Monica. “I really want to see her on my arm a lot,” he raps. “Trying to be her friend, I’m gonna be so close and become her confidant.”
“I been holding this record for a while,” Twista told The FADER. “When Jeremih laid his vocals on it, I knew putting this record out was going to be all about the right timing. It’s been a minute since I’ve made a feel good record, so I felt it was only right to put the homie Jeremih on it.”
Released last month, “Next to You” is the latest collab between Twista and Jeremih, who previously teamed up on “Woosah” and “Models & Bottles.”
