Chance the Rapper Named 'SNL's' Final Musical Guest of 2016
“Saturday Night Live” is closing out the year with a magnificent bang. The long-running comedy series has announced that Chance the Rapper will be the show’s final musical guest of 2016.
Due to appear on the show Dec. 17 with host Casey Affleck, Lil Chano is expected to deliver cuts from one of the year’s most critically-acclaimed projects, Coloring Book. Of course, that is unless he’s planning to unleash a new surprise project this month.
Last month, Lil Chano canceled the remainder of his European tour and announced that he’s working on his debut album.

“I want to make an album,” he explained. “My mixtapes have been confused for albums for a long time so it has to be different. Something that you could consider an album. It might not be physical. It might not be a disc but an album that comes with its own live show. That’s important.”
This will mark Chance’s second appearance on the show. Last year, he performed “Somewhere in Paradise” with Jeremih and “Sunday Morning” on “SNL.”
Despite canceling part of his European run, Chance has stayed busy. Just yesterday (Dec. 1), the Chi-town spitter performed at the 94th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, where he sang “Jingle Bells” with President Obama.
