SZA Performs 'Drew Barrymore' on 'Kimmel'
After more than three years in the industry, SZA made her late-night television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday (Jan. 12).
Top Dawg’s First Lady marked the special occasion with a rousing performance of her new single “Drew Barrymore” off her newly-announced album, CTRL.
Sporting an oversized velour jacket over a hoody and see-through blouse, Supreme underwear, and track pants, SZA performed the reflective cut in front of a live band and colorful lights.
“Somebody get the tacos,” she sings. “Somebody spark the blunt, let’s start the ‘Narcos’ off at episode one.”
As previously reported, “Drew Barrymore” was inspired by the actress it’s named after, as well as her movies Poison Ivy and Never Been Kissed.
CTRL, the follow-up to 2014’s Z, is also slated to feature a Travis Scott collaboration, tentatively titled “Love Galore.”
