Watch Sean Paul Freestyle Over Drake's 'Controlla'
Last month, Sean Paul remixed DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s “Let Me Love You.” Now, the Kingston crooner is back with a freestyle remix of Drake’s “Controlla.”
Live on Power 106’s “Cruz Show,” the new Island Records signee sang about his upcoming plans: “Seventeen is the brand new machine / Sean the Peezy back on the scene, baby.”
After giving a shoutout to Beenie Man, Sean also revealed some big news. “Big up my wife,” he sang. “She’s having my baby / In a few months / In a few weeks.”
The Jamaican superstar’s take on Drake may come as a surprise following his admonishment of the 6 God. In September, Sean said, “People like Drake of Bieber or other artists come and do dancehall-oriented music but don’t credit where dancehall came from.”
Of Drizzy, he added: “I love some of his songs. But I don’t think he’s the best rapper.”
