Kid Cudi Performs 'Kitchen' on 'The Tonight Show'
Kid Cudi turned up the heat on “The Tonight Show” with a stirring performance of “Kitchen,” a standout cut off his latest album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’.
Backed by a string section and keyboardist, Cudder hummed through the heartfelt Adam Sandler-inspired track about finding the right one and being “Punch Drunk Love annoyed.”
Rocking Yeezy Boosts, a zip-up hoody, and jeans, the WZRD floated through the performance on a bed of smog, while the strings and keys played elegantly behind him.
“You wanna find somebody you trust and lay low,” he sang, in front of a spectacular light display. “Can’t stand the heat of my love, then stay out the kitchen.”
The performance marked Cudi’s first televised appearance since the release of his album in December. Prior to that, he spent time in rehab, where he was reportedly treated for depression and suicidal urges.
