New Music: SAINt JHN - '3 Below'

  /  03.03.2017

Remember the name SAINt JHN. The Brooklyn-bred rapper continues building his buzz with “3 Below,” the latest single from his forthcoming debut Collection 1, due this spring.

Produced by f a l l e n, the atmospheric bounce-driven production allows JHN to flow with harmonies and rhymes freely. “Saint Laurent and quarter water / Show me you could really be your mama’s daughter,” he sings. “I ain’t trying to be nobody’s hero / My heart is three below zero / You know I like them ratchet bitches.”

According to SAINt, the song is a reflection of his real life experience. “I was high key just thinking out loud. My life is a constant juxtaposition, always mixing highs and lows,” he explained. “I’m literally the ni**a on the steps drinking a quarter water wearing Saint Laurent boots. I guess it just turned into a song.”

Born Carlos Saint John, the multifaceted artist has co-written songs like Usher’s “Crash” and “Rivals,” Joey Bada$$’s “Teach Me,” and Gorgon City’s “Doubts.” In the past, he went by Carlos Saint Jhn, but has since changed his name.

Prior to “3 Below,” SAINt dropped “Reflex” and “Roses,” which have received nearly 10 million streams on Spotify. Last year, he also opened for Post Malone on the “Hollywood Dreams Tour.” Up next, you can catch the rising star at SXSW, Rolling Loud, and the Governors Ball.
