New Music: Playboi Carti feat. Lil Uzi Vert - 'Woke Up Like This'
#CartiSeason continues as Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert take a page out of Beyoncé’s “Flawless” for their latest collaboration, “Woke Up Like This.”
The Queen Bey-inspired cut finds Uzi and Carti trading verses about haters and imitators over Pierre Bourne’s production. “Ni**as don’t like me,” raps Vert. “But act just like me.”
Carti continues this theme on his threatening verse. “I heard these ni**as wanna fight me,” he raps. “Meet me at my next show, but you better bring a pipe, B / We ain’t fighting.”
The song has Uzi’s shoulders moving like they’ve got “a mind of their own,” as he recently showed with his trademark dance moves on social media.
