New Music: Tinashe - 'Flame'

  /  03.15.2017

It’s lit! Hot off her collaborations with Lost Kings and Tinie Tempah, Tinashe sparks a new “Flame” on the latest single off her long-awaited album Joyride.

The R&B siren, who is the new face of Pepsi’s Sound Drop program, ignites the mid-tempo pop jam while singing about a former lover. “Tell me that you still got the flame for me,” she sings over the Sir Nolan production. “And tell me that you still want to stay, don’t leave / And we can let it burn.”

This is the latest Tinashe release ahead of her sophomore album Joyride, the follow-up to 2014’s Aquarius, which is set to feature production from Metro Boomin, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Charlie Handsome, Boi-1da, and more.

“It’s gonna come out when it comes out,” Tinashe recently told Rap-Up. “I’m just excited to continue to release new material. I have a lot of new music and I’m really excited about that.”

As part of her partnership with Pepsi, Tinashe can be seen alongside Jidenna on the latest season of “Empire,” which returns March 22. She will play herself in a multi-episode storyline which involves the creation of a visual album for Jamal (Jussie Smollett).
