New Music: Majid Jordan feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR - 'One I Want'

It’s an OVO ting. Majid Jordan and PARTYNEXTDOOR team up for an OVO Sound celebration on their new collaboration “One I Want.”

Blending both of their styles seamlessly, MJ and PND sing about an expensive night at a strip club. “50 bands later, you’re the one I want,” sings PARTY. “100 bands later, you’re the one I want / 150 bands later, you’re the one I want / 200 bands, baby, you’re the one I want.”

Going along with this theme, Majid Al Maskati adds his touch to the track. “Look at what we did,” he sings. “Young and restless with millions here to spend / On the late show.”

Earlier this month, PND released his surprise EP Colours 2, which Al Maskati called a “soundtrack to inspiration.”

“One I Want” follows the Canadian duo’s most recent single “Phases,” but it’s unclear where either will land. Up next, Majid Jordan is working on the follow-up to last year’s self-titled debut.

It’s been a busy week for OVO. Aside from releasing the collaboration, the label also announced the signing of Plaza, who released his SHADOWN EP over the weekend.
