T.I. to Star in Fox Drama 'Atlanta's Most Wanted'
T.I. is about to be “Atlanta’s Most Wanted.”
The rapper-turned-actor is set to star in a new Fox drama, which he is developing with Jerry Bruckheimer. Tip will portray Marcus Armstrong, the son of an infamous Atlanta criminal who is recruited to be part of a vice squad, while jeopardizing a major life secret.
“I am honored to partner with Fox and Bruckheimer on what is truly a passion project for me,” Tip told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s going to be amazing to see my city represented in this fashion.”
Rodney James, who’s worked on “Everybody Hates Chris” and “The Boondocks,” has signed on as the show’s writer. Meanwhile, T.I. will executive produce the series along with Jerry Bruckheimer Television’s Jonathan Littman, Brian Sher, KristieAnne Reid, and Rob Hardy.
This isn’t the only new program T.I. is working on. The MC, who recently wrapped the final season of VH1’s “T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle,” is also developing a comedy for Showtime called “The Studio” with Kevin Hart.
Pending a script review, “Atlanta’s Most Wanted” could begin producing its pilot season in 2018.
