Slim Jxmmi’s latest stage dive was likely his most expensive. During a Monday (July 3) concert in Paris, the Rae Sremmurd MC jumped into the crowd and lost a chain and pendant worth $100,000.
After realizing that his chain was missing, Jxmmi stopped the show asked the crowd to help him find it. “Who got the chain?” he asked (via Complex). “Somebody point out who got the chain.”
Later, he threatened whoever might have taken the chain. “Keep playing,” he said. “I’ma punch you in the nose. I swear to God.”
Slim’s partner-in-rhyme Swae Lee took a different approach, offering 5,000 euros as a reward for the chain finder. “Bring the chain up here,” he said. “We taking you on tour right now. Bring the chain up here.”
A frustrated Jxmmi continued to look for the chain, to no avail. “Damn,” he said. “I shouldn’t have jumped in there like that.” Taking to Instagram afterwards, Slim added: “Yes I hit a 100k crowd surf.”
Despite that, Jxm said he wasn’t upset about it in the end. Asked how he felt about the lost chain, he replied: “Indifferent.”
Rae Sremmurd isn’t just looking for a chain. The duo is also currently working on their next album, SremmLife 3, which they announced in April. A month before that, the Tupelo twosome previewed a new potential single, “Ballin’ So Crazy,” which might appear on the project.
