A year after releasing his breakout EP Savage Mode, 21 Savage unleashes his highly-anticipated debut Issa Album.
Named after the infamous cross tattoo on his forehead, the 14 featureless tracks chronicle the Atlanta rapper’s come-up over a trap-heavy soundtrack from Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, DJ Mustard, Pi’erre Bourne, and Southside.
To go along with Issa, the Saint Laurent Don has unveiled Issa Website, an interactive page that allows users to identify everyday objects with the help of Savage. “Issa atmospheric phenomenon,” he says, when users take an image of the sky.
On top of that, 21 has also teamed up with We Buy Gold for “The Year 2100,” an animated and futuristic web series that takes place in the “Year of the Savage.” “I’m excited to bring this cartoon villain to life and for my fans to see a new side of me,” said Savage. “‘The Year 2100’ intrigued me as it was the perfect opportunity to combine my music with a new medium and share it with my fans.”
