New Music: The Weeknd feat. A$AP Rocky & Young Thug - 'Reminder (Remix)'
If it ain’t XO, then it gotta go. The Weeknd calls on two of hip-hop’s most in-demand MCs—A$AP Rocky and Young Thug—for the official remix to his Starboy smash “Reminder.”
An Auto-Tuned Jeffery handles the first verse, sing-rapping about taking bubble baths with other rappers’ baby mamas. Elsewhere, he brags about his ice and his sex game. “Diamonds on me loud, got you silent,” he raps. “Got her bouncing on this dick like hydraulics.”
Following Abel’s verse and chorus — both borrowed from the original — A$AP Rocky joins in for the finale. “If I decide to cut my hair like Abel did, like Jaden Smith, I’d probably walk around all day with it,” he raps. “Okay, you lame, I’m A-OK with it.”
“Reminder” is a single off The Weeknd’s Starboy, which hangs at No. 21 on the Billboard 200. The original track is currently No. 90 on the Hot 100.
The video for “Reminder,” which features Drake, Rocky, Travis Scott, and many more, is nominated for five MTV Video Music Awards, including Video of the Year, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Artist of the Year.
