Hip-Hop Reacts to Mayweather Defeating McGregor
Boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated mixed martial arts legend Connor McGregor via a technical knockout in the year’s most anticipated boxing match on Saturday (Aug. 26). Celebrities around the entertainment world reacted to the event, with many celebrating Money’s undefeated streak.
Diddy declared the Money Team boss “the best ever” before claiming that the referee was “racially profiling.” “They should have let him knock that chump down,” he exclaimed. “Let him knock him out next time. Can we see a motherfuckin’ knockout? Can we see somebody else on the ground besides us? Take that.”

Congratulating “a true legend,” K. Michelle also offered commentary on the referee, who stopped the fight in the 10th round, as McGregor, a first time professional boxer, began to wobble in self-acknowledged fatigue. “The referee was the star of the night,” she said. “I’m going 2reach out to him!He was ride or die. Most of my friends just wanna be on TV or get a loan.”
Congrats to a true legend!

Mayweather’s return to the ring following a two-year retirement could have ended his longstanding undefeated streak. Instead, Money earned his 50th win with what he called the final bout of his career.
“UHYEEEEEAAAAAUH 50 & FUCKIN OHHH,” tweeted Chance the Rapper. “It’s a lot of Floyd can’t read jokes on my TL and I’m happy because it’s helping me identify you salty mfs. AAAAAAAHHHH U SALTY AAAAAH.”

Others like Tory Lanez and Juicy J used this as an opportunity to explain why this solidifies Mayweather’s claims of being “the best ever.” “Safe to say we can all say Floyd is the greatest,” wrote Lanez. “I don’t wanna hear nun of That ‘he fight 4 points’ bullshit.”
Kevin Hart added: “Congrats on a amazing career @FloydMayweather ….The sport of boxing will miss you man. Nothing but love and respect for you man!!!”
