Video: Playboi Carti feat. A$AP Rocky - 'New Choppa'

A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti lock and load in the video for their shoot ’em up collaboration “New Choppa,” which appears on Carti’s self-titled debut album.

Ironically enough, the visual starts with Rocky and Carti sitting at home, having a conversation about rap music videos. “Ni**as with guns in they videos is corny anyway,” Flacko tells his protégé, before clicking on the VHS tape for their new video.

Sure enough, the clip is filled with heavy artillery as Carti and Flacko are joined by a bevy of beautiful women in bikinis, shooting high-powered automatic weapons. As bullets and shells fly around, the crew fires off on teddy bears, apple pies, bottles, pineapples, and watermelons, smashing everything into particles.

Carti is still riding high on the success of “Magnolia,” which also comes from his self-titled debut. Meanwhile, A$AP Mob is fresh off the release of Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy, which features Carti on three songs. Next month, the Mob is heading out on their “Too Cozy Tour” with Playboi popping up on select dates.
