Swae Lee Threatens to Countersue Fan Over Water Bottle Case
Shortly after a fan sued Rae Sremmurd for throwing water bottles into the crowd, Swae Lee says he is ready to countersue.
Speaking with TMZ, the “Black Beatles” hitmaker explained why he and Slim Jxmmi are confident about the case.
“I’m ’bout to countersue ’cause he lying and he finna cause me stress,” said Lee. “I’m finna countersue. I do like 3,000 shows but I never threw a bottle off stage and Jxmmi never threw a bottle off stage so these are false accusations. I’m about to countersue.”
While walking away from the videographer who interviewed him, Swae offered parting words for the fan, who claims that a chunk of his face was removed after he was hit with at least one water bottle at their concert. “I appreciate that check, man,” he said. “I appreciate that check. I hope you get your nose fixed.”
The fan, named Jonathan Marko, claims that the duo threw bottled water into the crowd at a Michigan concert in October 2016. He is asking that Swae and Jxm cover his medical bills and additional damages.
After collaborating with iLoveMakonnen on “Love,” Rae Sremmurd is currently working on their third album, SremmLife 3.
