The stars have aligned for Rapsody’s Laila’s Wisdom, her first album to be released through a partnership with Roc Nation.

Due Sept. 22, the forthcoming effort is set to feature Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, BJ the Chicago Kid, Lance Skiiiwalker, and Musiq Soulchild, among others.

Earlier today, Rapsody held an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, where she talked about the guests on this effort. “The collaboration process is always fun to just bounce ideas off other creatives,” she said. “Its just a good energy and vibe, and i think it makes for a good way to grow as artist. We all get to learn and take something from each other and make it our own….and apply it to our records. To be honest….I was equally excited to work with everyone. :)”

She also opened up about her favorite aspect of collaborating with Kung Fu Kenny, who she previously worked with on To Pimp a Butterfly’s “Complexion.” “Man, the surprise of waiting on the verse,” she wrote. “He’s so versatile you never know what youre going to get….but you know its going to be FIRE!!!!!!!”

The project was executive produced by frequent collaborator and mentor 9th Wonder, as well as Young Guru and Terrace Martin. Check out a preview of the LP and its guests below.
