Fergie and Josh Duhamel Split After 8-Year Marriage

Fergie and Josh Duhamel are parting ways after eight years of marriage.

The couple announced the news in a joint statement. “With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” they said. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

Fergie, 42, and Duhamel, 44, dated for five years before having a lavish, celebrity-filled Malibu wedding in 2009. They have a 4-year-old son named Axl Jack and they celebrated their eighth anniversary in January with loving messages on social media.

In June, Fergie shared a family portrait at a concert and the following month, Duhamel posted an image of the two at a state fair.

Recently, Fergie relaunched her musical career with the lead-up to Double Dutchess, which is slated to arrive Sept. 22. It will be her first album since 2006’s The Dutchess.
