Rihanna’s humanitarian spirit continues to shine bright like a diamond. The multifaceted superstar held the Clara Lionel Foundation’s third annual Diamond Ball at New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street on Thursday (Sept. 14).
Wearing a gorgeous black Ralph & Russo Couture gown and diamond accessories from Chopard (including a diamond necklace from her Rihanna Loves Chopard collection), Bad Gal turned heads at the gala, which was organized to raise funds and awareness for CLF’s global efforts to support education, health, and emergency response programs around the world.
But RiRi — who brought her family along for the special event — wasn’t the only one shining. The stars also came out for the evening, including Kendrick Lamar, who performed “HUMBLE.” and “DNA.” at the Dave Chappelle-hosted function. RiRi didn’t join Kung Fu Kenny for “LOYALTY.,” but she did sing along with friends at her table.
Other celebrities also supported Bad Gal’s philanthropic deeds, including Future, Calvin Harris, Cardi B, Lil’ Kim, Young Thug, La La Anthony, Jidenna, and Beyoncé, who looked lovely in an emerald silk gown. Her husband, JAY-Z — one of RiRi’s longtime mentors — was also dapper in a black suit and bow tie.
The Clara Lionel Foundation was founded in 2012 by Rihanna to honor her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
