Rick Ross takes it back to 1995 with his remix to Total’s “Can’t You See” featuring Bruno Mali.
Renzel kicks off the track with a shoutout to Bad Boy, while his Maybach Music Group drop pops up in the background. “Follow the code,” he raps. “Shorty swallow me whole / I met her climbing a pole and let her climb in the Rolls / Ever since Bad Boy, we’re elegant.”
After Total’s infectious hook, Bruno arrives with some bars about his Toledo penthouse, being undefeated, and pouring purple up by the liter. “I’m just a ghetto kid who made it big off entertainment,” he raps. “You in the light so much, bitch, they gon’ need restraining / Pull up in the four-do’ / Name ringing like Quasimodo / I was bumpin’ Total / Tell your bitch to get off my scrotum.”
At nearly five minutes, this version also includes Notorious B.I.G.’s classic verse from the song, which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 back when it first dropped in ’95.
